How can Lamson help you become a Vocational Nurse?
Vocational Nurses (VNs) play an integral role in the healthcare field, promoting health, preventing illness, and caring for all individuals. Vocational Nurses (also known as practical nurses) work closely with doctors, physicians, and registered nurses to provide hands-on care directly to patients. Nursing is a profession that requires great heart, deep compassion, and a high level of commitment. With Lamson, you can get the training you need to enter the healthcare field as a Vocational Nurse in as little as 12 months.
Vocational Nurses work in many settings, including long-term care and rehabilitation facilities, assisted living centers, medical offices, clinics and home healthcare agencies. According to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, employment of Vocational Nurses is projected to grow 9 percent from 2019 to 2029, much faster than the average for all occupations. As the baby-boomer population ages, the overall need for healthcare services is expected to increase, and LVNs will be critical to provide care for older patients in residential care facilities and in private homes.
